I really enjoyed reading this and going through all the emotions with you. I was very curious about the message, but I recognised the power of "I know a guy." Human Capital is the most essential capital in the world. All the money in the world will not help if you don't "know a guy".

Thank you Rhoda. One long elevator ride! 😅

We are social beings but have limited capacity in the relationships we can hold. We can’t nurture every relationship every single day, but how we show up for others when we do makes “those guys” available to us in those moments. And that makes all the difference.

The criteria for selecting a diverse social circle gave me a new perspective on the role of acquaintances and even people whose approaches I don't agree with. The better question is, what can they teach me, how valuable is the lesson and can I afford it?

I'm walking away reminded of the importance of vision over interest alignment. I need to actually have that vision so I can use it to spot and attract like-minded folk.

Thank YOU for our high-performing friendship buddy 🙌🏾

And thank YOU buddy!

Approaching social capital with the mind of an investor produces better outcomes. We can learn a lot from the people around us, but we should never forget that we ultimately are responsible for those that we keep around. It's all about playing the long game.
